Dark and medium green, transversely striated "frogstone" serpentine frog carved in squatting pose with head turned slightly upward and towards its left side, a wide smile, large inlaid turquoise eyes, incised nostril holes, nine smaller inlaid turquoise dots as back and leg warts or decorations, incised toes on it's underside, but no offering bundle. This frog was carved in December 2000 by the increasingly frail patriarch. This represents one of Francis' very rare forays into an area dominated by his son Hayes' frogs. It is certainly one of the largest frogs ever made by Francis. Francis died in May of 2003, he was the son of Leekya Deyuse, brother of Sarah Leekya and Alice Leekya Homer and father of carvers Delvin, Hayes and Freddie Leekya.
