Mountain lion crudely fashioned from a segment of deer antler with inlaid turquoise eyes, pink coral nostril inlays, red shell tongue, an integral antler prong as tail, separate antler ears and legs puttied and nailed into place, plus an offering bundle made up of a turquoise arrow point, a 4 mm green bead and some small heise beads. This whimsical antler creation was fashioned by Halate during the week of August 18, 1997, and identified by him specifically as a mountain lion to Viola at Pueblo of Zuni Arts and Crafts. It was origianlly acquired from Pueblo of Zuni Arts and Crafts at the Zuni Pueblo in September of 1997. Leonard was born in 1914, ceased carving in 1998 and passed away in 2001.
