from their (award-winning jeweler and carver) mother, Annie Gasper.  Rhoda learned to carve Corn Maidens from Faye Quandelacy, the originator of Zuni Corn Maiden carving at the Zuni Pueblo.  Rhoda’s attention to detail, her eye for finding magic in stone, and her carving excellence put Rhoda among the top fetish carvers-artists at the Zuni Pueblo before her untimely passing a few years ago.
