Sarah Leekya(D) Turquoise Wolf Fetish

Adorable miniature wolf fetish Hand Carved by legendary Zuni carver Sarah Leekya from a lovely specimen of turquoise. Sarah was born in 1930 and passed away in 2017, she was the daughter of Leekya Deyuse, considered by many to be the Rembrandt of Zuni fetish carving, and the sister of Alice Homer and Francis Leekya, both great carvers in their own right. Sarah learned her craft from working with and helping her father with his fetishes. This wolf has jet inlaid eyes, and is unsigned which is typical of Sarah's work.
