Very compelling medicine bear fetish Hand Carved from a beautiful specimen of marble with turquoise inlaid heart line and eyes. Bears are associated with strength, introspection, self- knowledge, healing and the power of the soul. They are also thought to lighten emotional burdens. Stewart is the son of Ellen and Dixie Quandelacy and was born in 1949. He started carving in grade school, as did most of his brothers and sisters (Andres, Avery, Barlow, Sandra, Dickie, Wilmer, Faye, and Georgia Quandelacy, and Albenita Yunie). After Naval service in Vietnam, Stewart began carving regularly, starting with stringing fetishes and then progressing to standing fetishes.
