Aaron (1915 to 2002) began his career making bracelets and chokers and in 1948 he married Thelma (1928) the daughter of the great traditional carver Teddy Kucate. Teddy lived with them for many years and as he aged he used his tools less and less. According to Thelma , she and Aaron didn't like to see them lying around untouched so they picked them up and put them to work. By 1972 Aaron and Thelma were producing fetishes in earnest.
