Faye was an internationally renowned Zuni fetish carver who graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, where she studied under Allan Houser. Her sought-after artwork was sold at shows and galleries around the world, and one of her fetishes was once gifted to former President Bill Clinton on behalf of the State of New Mexico. She pioneered a unique style of maiden carvings and passed down the craft to her siblings and many other Zuni carvers.
